DELETE THE DIRECTIONS BELOW BEFORE YOU TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR WEBSITE If you want a banner like the Jon Doe banner at the top you must contact the marketing department. If you do not want a custom banner at the top, and just want your name, follow the directions below: I recommend printing these directions before continuing At the top right click More Actions then click Manage site Click Colors and Fonts on the left Scroll down to "site header background image" click none and then click save changes The Jon Doe header should now be gone. Click General on the left Rename the site to whatever you want to show at the top Check the box "show site name at top of pages" then click save changes. Go back to Colors and Fonts on the left and scroll down and you will see site title font, site title size and site title color Change these three to whatever you want and then click save changes then click return to site. I would recommend creating your own slideshow, or delete the current slideshow and just have a static image. You can keep the current one, but at the beginning and the end it shows my name Brooks Uhrig on the bottom left as the creator. If you want to recreate this same slideshow but have it show your name instead of mine let me know and I can set that up. To create your own custom slideshow follow the directions below: I recommend printing these directions before continuing To create your own slideshow go to picasaweb.google.com Click the upload button and name your new album Click the "Select Photos from your computer" button Choose pictures from your computer you want in the slideshow and click Open Once all of the photos are uploaded click OK on the bottom right to confirm. Click the Actions button and click Album Properties Change the visibility to "public on the web" and save. Now, go back to edit this homepage Click on the example slideshow box above this text and click remove Once the example slideshow is removed click insert on the top left then click "Picasa Web Slideshow" Choose the slideshow you just uploaded and click Select on the bottom right. Change the slideshow size to Extra Large then click Save. Click on the slideshow box again and click the letter C to center it on the page.     |
